If after a complete review of everything you've submitted we determine there is no viable path forward, we refund you in full. No questions asked.
What this means
When you submit a case to DispuPoint, we go through everything — your intake form, every email, every document, every ledger entry. We apply Illinois law to your specific facts. We assess whether there is a legitimate, documentable basis for a formal dispute.
If we determine that your case is NOT VIABLE — meaning there is no reasonable legal or procedural basis to pursue your dispute under Illinois law — we issue a full refund of your $149 payment. You will receive a written explanation of why your case was assessed as not viable, so you understand exactly where you stand.
What "viable" means
A viable case is one where at least one of the following is true:
- There is a documented violation of Illinois statute, Chicago ordinance, Cook County ordinance, or your governing documents
- There is a procedural failure by your HOA, condo association, or property management company that has a documented remedy
- There is a factual dispute — such as an unauthorized charge or missing payment — that can be formally contested with supporting documentation
- There is a basis for a regulatory complaint with the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) or another applicable body
A case assessed as POTENTIALLY VIABLE means there may be a path forward but additional documentation is needed. In that case, we will tell you exactly what we need before proceeding. No refund is issued for potentially viable cases unless you choose not to continue.
What the guarantee does not cover
The guarantee applies to the viability assessment — not to the outcome of your dispute. DispuPoint prepares documents and assesses your legal position. We do not control how your HOA, condo association, or property management company responds. A viable case does not guarantee a favorable outcome.
The guarantee also does not apply if:
- You submitted materially incomplete or inaccurate information that affected the assessment
- Your dispute falls outside Illinois jurisdiction
- You request a refund after receiving and reviewing a completed letter
How refunds are processed
Refunds are issued to the original payment method within 5–10 business days of a NOT VIABLE determination. You will receive a written notification by email confirming the refund and the reason for the determination.
If you believe a NOT VIABLE determination is incorrect, contact us at hello@dispupoint.com with any additional information you believe was not considered. We will review it.
